Yes — completely free, forever. No subscriptions, no hidden fees, no credit card required. We sustain the service through non-intrusive Google AdSense advertising.

Are my files private?

Most editing (text, erase, sign, images, page management) happens entirely in your browser — your file never leaves your device for these features. For conversion and compression, your file is sent to our secure server, processed, and immediately deleted. We do not read, store, or share your documents. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What file types can I work with?

PDF Wand supports PDFs natively, plus conversion from Word (.doc, .docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), Excel (.xlsx), OpenDocument formats, plain text, images (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, TIFF), PostScript, and ebooks (EPUB, MOBI, AZW3).

Why does compression sometimes not reduce the file much?

PDFs that consist mostly of text and vector content have limited room for compression — the size savings come primarily from compressing embedded images. A text-heavy PDF may only reduce by 10–20%. PDFs with high-resolution images will compress significantly more.

Do I need to create an account?

No. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no logins. Open the site and start editing immediately.

Is there a file size limit?

Currently the maximum upload size is 100MB per file. If you need to work with larger files, please contact us.
